According to Barcelona coach Xavi, striker Ousmane Dembele will join Paris St-Germain.
On Wednesday, the 26-year-old France international was an unused substitute in Barcelona’s 1-0 pre-season friendly victory over AC Milan in Las Vegas.
“He says he has this proposal and has decided to leave.” “It is his personal choice,” Xavi stated.
Dembele has scored 40 goals in 185 games for Barcelona since signing from Borussia Dortmund for £135 million in 2017.
“I will be very clear,” Xavi declared. “He’s been very direct in saying that he has a proposal from Paris St-Germain, that they’ve called him from there, and that we can’t do anything here.” That’s why he didn’t play today.
“It pains me because I believe we have provided excellent care for him here, ensuring that he is happy and content and continues to make a difference for us.”
