On Wednesday, April 5, angry youths in Delta state stormed the state police command headquarters carrying the body of a young man who had allegedly been shot dead over a “N100 bribe” along the Ugbolu-Asara road.
The dead man was a phone vendor in the well-known Ogbeogonogo market who was reportedly shot dead by a state police officer for allegedly refusing to pay a N100 bribe.
Justice for the murdered phone dealer is what the protesting youths are calling for. Until justice is served, they have vowed to organize more youths for protests.
