President Muhammadu Buhari has explained why he refused to name a presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the presidential primaries.
He explained that he ran for president three times and ended up at the Supreme Court without success before winning the fourth time through a democratic process, and he wondered why he would choose a presidential candidate in a democratic process.
He explained that the late Ahmadu Bello stood for fairness, equity, and justice, and that he did the same as President. He stated this in Lafia yesterday during the 2023 Annual Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Lecture.
