Vice President of the Senate Applauds Court’s Ruling, Urges Nigerians to Stand Behind Tinubu

Senator Barau Jibrin, the Senate’s vice president, has praised the PEPT’s decision to uphold President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election.

Barau’s media adviser Ismail Mudashir stated in a statement that the tribunal’s decision validated Nigerians’ preference.

The five-person panel, presided over by Justice Haruna Tsammani, confirmed Tinubu’s election on Wednesday, as previously reported by SAREWAHAUSA

Barau called for all Nigerians to accept the tribunal’s decision and join forces with the current administration to solve the country’s problems, regardless of their political affiliation.

”According to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal’s ruling, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was duly elected by the voters who turned out in large numbers on February 25, 2023.

He urged everyone to work together with the president to improve the country’s situation.

In keeping with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the Deputy Senate President reaffirmed the legislature’s intention to pass laws in support of the executive branch’s different efforts.

”On our end, as promised by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, we will craft the legislation needed to back up the executive branch and help it deal with the difficulties facing our nation. For the sake of everyone, we shall pursue this with all diligence. The late great Barau chimed in.
