OMG! Van Der Sar in Intensive Care Following Brain Bleed Former Manchester United and Ajax goalie Edwin van der Sar is in intensive care following a brain bleed.
The 52-year-old is said to be receiving treatment in a hospital in Croatia, where he was on vacation.
The former Netherlands international, who has 130 caps for his country, is claimed to be in “stable condition” by Ajax.
“Everyone at Ajax wishes Edwin a speedy recovery,” Ajax added. “We’re thinking of you.”
Van der Sar resigned as Ajax’s CEO in May after the club finished third in the Dutch league and failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2009.
