Tinubu’s agricultural transformation program will be realized, according to the minister

Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, has affirmed of the ministry’s commitment to implementing President Bola Tinubu’s agricultural reform plan.

Abdullahi addressed in Minna at a magnificent reception hosted by the Niger State government for all elected authorities, political appointees, and other stakeholders.

According to the minister, the President is doing everything necessary to assure the success of his agricultural transformation and food security agenda.

He went on to say that the decision to select both the senior and junior ministers for Agriculture and Food Security from Borno and Niger, the two major states hit hard by insecurity, was influenced by the President’s commitment to an agricultural revolution.

Though he agreed that the two states are plagued by insecurity, Abdullahi stated that the military and other security services’ continuous offensive against criminals will bring the situation under control, paving the way for farming activities.

Earlier, Rt. Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago, governor of Niger State, informed the minister that the state will participate in the President’s agricultural transformation plan.
