Justice Yelim Bogoro remanded the blogger and self-proclaimed relationship/mental expert in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) until a bail hearing on May 30.
Blessing Okoro, aka Blessing CEO, a relationship blogger, has been remanded in prison by the Federal High Court in Lagos.
Okoro was remanded in court on Friday after being charged with cyberbullying by the police.
Justice Yelim Bogoro remanded the blogger and self-proclaimed relationship/mental expert in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) until a bail hearing on May 30.
The defendant was arrested on a six-count charge of alleged cyberbullying, libel, and displaying uncensored movies.

On October 16, 2022, Okoro of Lekki, Lagos, “intentionally sent messages using her Instagram handle @officialblessingceo to bully, threaten, and harass one Folashade Samuels, a.k.a Mamajazz, a younger sister to the late Bimbo Ogbonna,” according to Dimka of the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The blogger was also accused of injuring the reputations of Folashade Samuels and the late Bimbo Ogbonna by exposing them to hatred, contempt, and ridicule through her Instagram handle @officialblessingceo.
The police also accused her of displaying a film and video work titled “Sweet Sour” without a censorship certificate or a license issued by the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB).
According to the police, the defendant allegedly sent the following messages:
“Let’s find out where Mamajazz’s father is.”
is??? Their father had the same problem with their mother Ebele, and he fled for our (sic) safety. IVD’s crime was that he was not strong enough to flee… ”
“The late Bimbo’s family is after IVD’s properties and life.” Mamajazz, her older sister, in particular. Bimbo and IVD are well-known figures in Lagos, and it is no secret that Bimbo is violent even in their estate. Everybody knows how she regularly breaks a bottle on her husband’s head.

“I’m going to ask Mamajazz, the late Bimbo’s sister, a few questions…
where (sic)
Were you on good terms with your sister before she died? Do you owe your late sister 18 million dollars? Did she try to stop you before she died? Do you even like the children of your sisters? This question is answered because | will slam the internet with raw facts and evidence.”
“As IVD’s official relationship therapist, I am stepping into the case… Will dismiss all evidence that IVD did not murder or even injure his wife. The late Bimbo was a violent individual and a suicidal victim…”
According to the police, the defendant’s actions violated Section 24 (2)(a)(1) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015, and Section 375 of the Criminal Code Act.
They also broke Section 33 of the NFVCB Act of 2004.
Okoro pleaded not guilty.
The late Bimbo, the wife of Lagos celebrity auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, died in a fire at their Lekki home last year.
Ogbonna, 37, is on trial in connection with her death at the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja.
The defendant was arraigned on a single count of involuntary manslaughter in suit No. LD/21055C/23 filed by the Lagos State Government.
