Malomo Taofeek, captain of the Shooting Stars, sees his team’s undefeated start to the Nigeria Premier Football League season as a sign of good things to come.
The Oluyole Warriors defeated the defending champions 2-0 thanks to strikes from Ayomide Adekunle and Anayor Ogbonna.
Plateau United’s deficit was trimmed by David Onovo.
Malomo is confident the team will do better in their upcoming match.
“I believe it is a good thing for us winning the game today (Saturday), and we are taking this positive result to the next game against Bendel Insurance,” he told the club’s media.
To paraphrase, “Insurance are also a good team, but I believe we can get something out of it when we get to their home ground next weekend.”
