PSG bench Mbappé ahead of Lorient showdown

ESPN claims that Kylian Mbappe will not be on the Paris Saint-Germain roster for Saturday’s Ligue 1 opener against Lorient at the Parc des Princes.

The 24-year-old’s future is uncertain after being cut from the first squad by new boss Luis Enrique.

As a result of this incident, Mbappe may be suspended for PSG’s August matches against Lorient, Toulouse, and Lens.

The captain of France’s national team has notified the French champions that he will not be extending his current contract, which is set to expire in June 2024.

In order to get Mbappe to sign a new contract or accept a sale this summer, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi kept him off the team’s preseason vacation to Japan.

The attacker has been forced to practice with Leandro Paredes, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Julian Draxler, three “unwanted” players on their way out of PSG.
