Three months after the death of singer Ilerioluwa Alboa, better known as MohBad, the command has still not received the toxicology report, according to Adegoke Fayoade, the commissioner of police in Lagos State.
This information was revealed by Fayoade while answering questions from Crime Reporters at the Command Headquarters during Wednesday’s suspect parade.
He blamed the state government’s destruction of a state-of-the-art laboratory during the EndSARS demonstration for the delay and said the command was still expecting the findings.
According to SAREWAHAUSA , 27-year-old MohBad passed away in September of last year amid contentious circumstances and was laid to rest the following day.
His vaccine provider was taken into custody after it was discovered that she did not possess the necessary licenses.
The police formed a team to investigate his death after public uproar. After exhuming Mohbad’s body, a battery of tests was run.
Nevertheless, the results of the autopsy that was conducted on his remains have not been made public.
“You may remember that a few years ago, the Lagos State government constructed a cutting-edge laboratory. Regrettably, urchins sacked and destroyed that very same laboratory, which was worth millions of naira, during the EndSars protest,” the Commissioner remarked. There would have been no need to send the body sample to the United States for toxicity testing if that lab hadn’t been destroyed.
Unfortunately, the toxicological result has not been sent to us yet. We have not yet received the report from the United States. “Once we receive it, we will make it public,” he stated.
