On Tuesday, supporters of Governor Caleb Mutfwang and other PDP candidates in Plateau State celebrated their success in election petition courts.
At the Langfield Event Centre in Rayfield, Jos., Mutfwang prayed and gave gratitude in front of a receptive crowd.
At the ceremony, he stated, “The tribunal’s dismissal of their petition on the grounds of lack of merit, validated my position.”
We promise to deliver for the people of Plateau, and we beg them to put their trust in our administration.
The Governor also thanked President Bola Tinubu, calling him a “true democrat,” for being nonpartisan in all political matters involving the state.
Mutfwang reassured teachers in his state that the government was working to resolve the issue of unpaid teacher pay, which he inherited, and advised them to be patient.
Senator Jonah Jang, a former governor of the state and an elder statesman, attributed the win to God and the people of Plateau State.
Jang, who was represented by former Minister for Water Resources Mrs. Sarah Ochekpe, said that the PDP structures would continue to be “steadfast and unbeatable” despite the challenges they face.
