Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi-Ahmadu, the District Head of Kuraye, has been removed from his position by the Katsina State Government.
According to the allegations, Abdullahi-Ahmadu presided over a marriage contract without the necessary medical documents.
According to a statement released by the Director of Press Affairs, Alhaji Abdullahi Aliyu-Yar’adua, the decision was made at the advice of the council of the Katsina Emirate.
The Emirate council looked at a petition that was submitted to them.
It was discovered that Abdullahi-Ahmadu had officiated a marriage without the necessary medical certificates.
“One of the parties is HIV positive; the district head presided over the marriage without due checks,” the statement read. (NAN)
