the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has stated that he will be examined by the two medical specialists who were previously barred from seeing him by the Department of State Services (DSS).
Kanu, who confirmed that the doctors will see him tomorrow, June 6, stated that they will not be performing any surgery on him.
His special counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, made his confession public following a routine meeting with his legal team at the DSS facility in Abuja on Monday.
Ejimakor posted on Twitter:
“UPDATE: I just returned from a visit to Onyendu #MNK.
“He directed me to make public the fact that the same two doctors who were unable to see him on June 6th will now see him tomorrow.”
“Onyendu assures everyone that the doctors are not coming to DSS to operate on him.”
Kanu has had an ear infection that necessitates surgery.
Earlier, his lead counsel, Mike Ozekhome, had written to the DSS requesting that two doctors attend to Kanu.
