Nigerian Police Arrest Three People In Connection With The Death Of A Female Doctor Caused By A Faulty Elevator

Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of Dr Vware Diaso at Lagos Island’s General Hospital.

The arrest was confirmed by the Nigeria Police Force’s Lagos State Command.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed the arrest to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Saturday.

Hundeyin, who did not name the suspects, stated that the police had initiated an investigation into the case.

A defective elevator at the General Hospital in Odan, Lagos, claimed the life of a medical practitioner working at the institution, Vware Diaso.

The incident allegedly occurred on Wednesday evening when the deceased, who resided on the 9th level of the building, sought to meet a dispatch rider who had delivered the meal she had previously bought online.

The deceased, a graduate of Babcock University in Ilishan Remo, Ogun State, was claimed to be completing her mandated one-year internship at the hospital with less than two weeks to go when the tragedy occurred.

According to reports, the hospital elevator that killed Diaso crashed from the 10th level to the ground floor.

According to reports, the late doctor was brought to the hospital’s emergency room for treatment but died.

According to the sources, the elevator had malfunctioned multiple times prior to the tragedy, but the hospital management paid little attention to it.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has committed to investigate the doctor’s death thoroughly, while a report from a panel is pending.
