Forward for Paris Saint-Germain Lionel Messi is set to join Inter Miami this summer, according to Neymar.
According to Neymar, he and Messi discussed his move to Inter Miami, and he told the Argentina captain that he would be content at the MLS club.
Messi has stated his intention to sign as a free agent with Inter Miami.
Neymar and Messi reunited in the summer of 2021, when the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner agreed to join PSG after Barcelona were unable to renew his contract owing to La Liga’s wage ceiling constraints.
Their partnership, however, has broken down once more.
In response to Messi’s departure to Inter Miami, Neymar stated (via Albiceleste Talk Twitter):
“Messi going to Miami?” That seemed obvious to me. Messi is one of my dearest pals and a gift from the ball. I had the opportunity to play with him, and we quickly became friends.
“I knew he’d come to Miami, and we discussed it.” I told him he’d be very happy because of the city and manner of life, and I’m confident he’ll revolutionize the entire league.”
