According to the Kano State Hisbah Board, Muslims who are found eating in public during the fasting period will be prosecuted.
The board has also sent personnel to mosques to ensure the safety of people and property during Ramadan.
This was stated in a statement issued by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Ibrahim Lawan, on Thursday in Kano.
Dr Harun Ibn-Sina, the board’s Commander-General, stated, “Hisbah corps will visit mosques during Iftar, Tarawih, and Tahajjud prayers to protect worshippers and their property from unpatriotic elements.”

Ibn-Sina urged the general public to help orphans and the poor in their time of need.
He stated that feeding others during the Holy Month is rewarding because Allah (SWT) “opens the gates of paradise.” As a result, there was a need to multiply good deeds in order to gain Allah’s favor.”
Clothing, food, grains, water, and cash, according to Ibn-Sina, could also be distributed to those in need.
