Matt Turner, an American goalkeeper, is released by Arsenal

Matt Turner, a goalkeeper for Arsenal, has transferred to Nottingham Forest for the rest of the season.

On Wednesday, the Gunners made the announcement on their website.

This comes just days before Arsenal’s Premier League season opener against Nottingham Forest.

The official Arsenal website quoted Edu, the club’s Sporting Director, as saying:

In a statement, the club said, “On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to thank Matt for his contribution to Arsenal and wish him and his family all the best in their new chapter.”

We wish him well on his new adventure at Nottingham Forest.
Turner moved to Arsenal from the New England Revolution of the Major League Soccer in June of 2022.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper made seven total appearances for Arsenal, in which he recorded four shutouts.
