Kwara has a new controller of the correctional service

Kwara State’s new Controller of Correctional Services is Oyun Adeyinka Adebayo.

Controller Salami Abdulraheem Olubamji was replaced by Adebayo, who will now be working out of the Oyo State Command.

The outgoing controller expressed gratitude for the command staff’s assistance and cooperation during his tenure and requested the same treatment for the incoming controller.

The new controller is an experienced specialist in the field of corrections who comes from the town of Ipe in the Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Adebayo held positions as the Vice Principal of Academics at the Kwara State Prison, Ganmo, the officer in charge of the Old Ilorin Custodial Centre, Okekura, and the Squadron Commander of the Kwara State Command.

Before becoming the Controller of Corrections for the State of Harmony, he held the positions of Zone “F” Controller of Operations in Ibadan, Oyo State, and most recently, Controller of Corrections for the State of Cross River.

The new controller gave an address to the workers, promising to build on the work of his predecessor and asking for everyone’s help in carrying out his duties.

Adebayo stressed the importance of discipline and urged everyone to provide 110% to the service they were providing.
