Judgment from the Tribunal: FRSC Warns Against ‘Wild Celebration

To prevent “wild celebrations” on Wednesday when the Gubernatorial Election Petition Tribunal issues its ruling, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kano State has warned supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) against attending.

FRSC Public Relations Officer Labaran Abdullahi in Kano sent a statement signed by Sector Commander Ibrahim Sallau-Abdullahi with the request.

“Fans should not get carried away with wild celebrations during or after the tribunal’s verdict, especially if they involve vehicles or cause any type of roadblock.

“Wild celebrations can cause breach of traffic rules and regulations and result in obstruction of highways and road traffic crashes will not be allowed, as perpetrators will face full wrath of the law,” he said.

The corps stated that authorities and other security agencies will not tolerate any form of reckless driving, route violation, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, indiscriminate parking, overloading, excessive speeding, or driving by minors prior to, during, or after the verdict from the tribunal is issued.

He urged drivers to always do their best to play by the book.

According to NAN, the panel is expected to issue its verdict today. (NAN)
