‘It is time for terrorist financiers to face the wrath of the law,’ Fani-Kayode says as Tinubu suspends Emefiele Femi.

Former Aviation Minister Fani-Kayode has responded to Godwin Emefiele’s suspension as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
According to Willie Bassey, Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), President Bola Ahmed Tinubu authorized Emefiele’s suspension in a statement made on Friday.
Emefiele’s suspension, which is effective immediately, is tied to an ongoing probe of his office’s activities and proposed reforms in the economy’s banking sector.
Following his suspension from office, Emefiele was told to take over the CBN’s business to the Deputy Governor (Operations Directorate), who will operate as the Central Bank Governor until the investigation and reforms are completed.
In response to the suspension, Fani-Kayode characterized Emefiele as the living embodiment of everything wicked that has ruined Nigeria on Twitter.
Emefiele’s suspension, according to the former minister, is good news for the apex bank and the country as a whole.
He, on the other hand, stated that the former CBN governor must face the full force of the law for his alleged crimes against humanity, conspiracy to undermine the will of the Nigerian people, and attempt to sabotage and wreck the country’s democracy.
“The beast called Godwin “The Greed” Emefiele has finally been suspended,” he tweeted. He is the living embodiment of all evil, and no single person has ever ruined Nigeria as much as he has. His misdeeds are numerous.
“I am relieved for Nigeria and the Central Bank that he has left.” Now he must face the full force of the law for his crimes against humanity, treasonous acts, terrorism funding, massive & monumental thievery & corruption, wicked and barbaric ways, conspiracy to thwart the will of the Nigerian people, and attempt to subvert & scuttle our democracy. He must and will be held accountable.”
On Saturday, he tweeted again, saying, “O GODWIN, HOW ART THOU FALLEN!
“Where are your supporters, protectors, and soldiers today, Godwin?” You were having a good time and assumed it would last forever. But it’s all over now. The hunter has turned into the hunted, and the tormentor has turned into the tormented.
“Nigeria’s troublemaker is now the troubled, and the source of our collective pain and tears will feel pain and shed tears.” How huge and powerful our God is, and how faithful He is to His promise and word.
“O Godwin, you poked your greedy, grubby little fingers into Nigeria’s eye with your cheap green tie, fading suit, and wry smile.” You boasted of your strength and wielded power with impunity, like a drunken sailor and a feckless dullard.
“Now that reality has hit you in the face, you stand humiliated, bowed, bloodied, and naked in front of the world.” Many people died as a result of your actions.
You forced men and women to commit suicide. You made mothers and fathers regret having children. You prompted Nigerians to strip naked in public and yell, rave, and lament their pain and poverty.
“You made women cry for their men and men cry for their women.” You have caused millions of people to lose their self-esteem, self-respect, and dignity, and to sell their souls to Satan in order to make ends meet.
“You brought a great and powerful nation to its knees, reducing 220 million proud, hardworking, and noble people to powerless, pitiful, and grovelling paupers and beggars.” Out of despair, wrath, and frustration, you turned law-abiding, caring, and dutiful teenagers into violent arsonists, terrorists, and subversives.
“You caused men and women to burn down banks and public buildings, and you caused Nigerians to lose their life savings, beg for bread, and walk the streets penniless with only 200 naira to their names.”
“O Godwin, son of Emefiele, you have finally fallen, like Lucifer, Son of the Dawn.” You turned us into the world’s laughingstock. You have castrated Nigeria, injured our spirits, maimed and subverted our democracy, compromised our security, humiliated and degraded our leaders, teased and mocked our incoming President, and killed many innocent people.
“You crushed many dreams, broke many hearts, and caused many people to perish and die before their time.” You thought you owned Nigeria, protected by corrupt and bad individuals and prodded on by a power-obsessed cabal of sick, cruel, and evil beasts and tyrants, and even had the audacity to run for President.
“You thought our country was for sale, and you thought Satan was in charge of men’s affairs.” Despite this, millions of people prayed for your demise and removal. Millions more are hoping for your arrest, investigation, incarceration, and a harsh end.
Never in our history has a man been more despised than you, the vile, heartless, callous, evil, treasonous and deceitful despot and traitor.
“You thought money was greater than God, and that your repugnant and villainous reign would never end.” I’ve never wished a man ill in my life, but in your situation, I’ll make an exception.
“May your path be filled with sharp thorns, night terrors, and pain, and may the Lord’s Angel pursue you along a dark and slippery path.” May your story and ending serve as a graphic illustration and instructional reminder to the evil and wicked that man is nothing before God, that earthly dominion is ephemeral and transient, that all power belongs to the Living God, and that the Lord alone controls in men’s affairs and forges countries’ fate.”
