Each squadron’s leader had two weeks to complete the mission.
The acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has issued an order for the PMF to withdraw from 37 squadrons across the country immediately.
It’s been a month since the acting IGP announced plans to remove police, notably PMF, from high-profile individuals all throughout the country.
The Whistler has obtained a police signal from July 26 stating that the concerned squadron commanders have two weeks to complete the assignment.
The signal was issued by the AIGPOL MOPOL, FHQ Abuja and signed by a COMPOL Mobile, an officer with a rank of Commissioner of Police (CP) or higher.
The departure, as stated in the wireless message sent around 2:31 PM on Wednesday, is to allow for the mobilization of people for the specialist swift intervention squad proposed by the IGP to address mounting concerns of insecurity.

“INGENPOL orders you to assemble 1,000 healthy people in two weeks. Please provide the names of potential candidates to INGENPOL. Please enforce stringent adherence.
MOPOLS, among the affected Squadrons, includes: First, Kaduna, then Enugu, then Ibadan, then Benin, then Maiduguri, then Sokoto, then Jos, then Kano, then Bauchi, then Calabar, then Minna, then Makurdi, then Yola, then Ilorin, then Abeokuta, then Akure, then Owerri, and finally Port-Harcourt.
Other MOBOLS include: 26 Uyo; 27 Katsina; 28 Umuahia; 29 Awka; 30 Yenagoa; 31 Asaba; 32 Abakaliki; 34 Gombe; 35 Dutse; 36 Birnin Kebbi; 37 Lokoja; 38 Akwanga; 39 Osogbo; 40 Jalingo; 41 Damaturu; 42 Gusau; 45 FHQ Abuja; and 49 Epe.
