The Saudi Arabia Professional Football League has named Odion Ighalo to its Team of the Season.
The Saudi League body presented the 2022–23 season’s Best X1 on Wednesday.
Al Hilal, who had been the league winners, were defeated by Al Ittihad thanks to Ighalo’s 19 goals.
Only the 33-year-old Al Hilal player made the decision.
Ighalo joined the squad last year after assisting Al Hilal in their championship victory.
During that season, the former Manchester United striker scored 24 goals.
After his contract with the Blue Waves expired, the Nigerian left the team already.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the star of Al Nassr, was not on the roster.
