Iree Cultural Frontiers has issued a call to action to Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, in order to rectify what the organization has defined as a historic injustice from the perspective of the organization. A royal house that has been “sidelined” appears to have been granted permission to replace the vacant seat of Aree of Iree, according to a group that has made this assertion. Specifically, this is the accusation that the organization has made.
According to the International Cultural Foundation (ICF), a socio-cultural organization that has its headquarters in Iree, which is located in the Boripe North Local Council Development Area of the state, the Olubonku Ruling House has been marginalized for more than two hundred years and ought to be permitted to produce the next traditional ruler of the town. This is because the ICF believes that the Olubonku Ruling House should be allowed to produce their own traditional ruler. ICF is of the opinion that this is the case.
The call was delivered by the group in a statement that was released from the organization on Saturday. The statement described the decision. Ilori Adanlawo, who serves as the Chairman of the group, and Oluwole Adisa, who serves as the Secretary of the organization, both signed the statement individually. They signed the document, which was included in the documentation. Osogbo, which is the capital of the state, published a statement about the situation. This was the location where the announcement was initially displayed to the general public.
On the other side, the ICF has expressed its gratitude to Adeleke for nullifying what it has referred to as the unconstitutional installation of Prince Ademola Raphael as monarch for the Iree community by the previous government of former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola. Adeleke’s actions have been credited with bringing about the nullification of this unlawful installation. A violation of the constitution has been considered as having occurred as a result of Adeleke’s activities. There are others who believe that Adeleke’s actions are to blame for the current situation that we find ourselves in.
In terms of the AFCON Special, the amount that is accessible is a total of 0.00 / 0.00.
I have included a passage from the statement for your consideration, which can be found below: “Recall that Governor Adeleke had on Thursday sacked three traditional rulers, specifically the Akirun of Ikirun, Oba Yinusa Akadiri; the Owa of Igbajo, Oba Adegboyega Famodun; and the Aree of Iree, Oba Ademola Raphael, on the basis of a government white paper that faulted their installations.”
Furthermore, the ICF noted that the royal family has been putting forth Prince Afolabi Ali as its favored candidate for the Iree Obaship throne for a substantial amount of time. This preference has been expressed by the royal family. According to the ICF, this is the case. In the case that the ICF submitted in support of the Olubonku Ruling House for the Iree Obaship stool, this was included as a component of the argument that was made.
“In particular, it anchored its plea on the necessity of providing justice to the Olubonku Ruling House of Iree, which has been marginalized, and also attracting development to the town, taking into consideration the fact that Prince Afolabi Ali is an international lawyer, a philanthropist businessman, and an estate developer of the highest caliber.”
Afolabi Ali is a man who has committed his wealth and global connections to the advancement of Iree and the empowerment of a great number of homes, particularly the younger generation. The International Community Foundation (ICF) is of the opinion that Afolabi Ali’s progenitor is Oba Olubonku, who ruled approximately two hundred years ago. This was around two hundred years ago when Oba Olubonku was in power. Afolabi Ali, a man who goes by the name Afolabi Ali, has made it his purpose to share his wealth and connections with people from all over the world.
Even though it was reported that the Olubonku Ruling House in Iree had only reigned once in the two hundred years prior to that, it was also stated that some of the other ruling houses had ruled an average of six times, five times, four times, three times, and two times, respectively. This was despite the fact that the Olubonku Ruling House had only ruled once.
As stated in the press release, “We will be eternally grateful to Governor Ademola Adeleke for preventing yet another historic injustice from occurring,” saying that we would be forever grateful to him. In an effort to force a candidate on us that the people of Iree did not want, the government of the former governor, Gboyega Oyetola, made an attempt to do so. However, he was able to prevent them from doing so. This is something that will be so highly valued by us that it will continue to exist despite the passage of time and the passage of eternity.
Every Piece of News That Is Associated with It
According to a statement made by an official from the administration, the decision to remove three Osun monarchs from their positions cannot be questioned since it is irrevocable. This is the reason why the decision cannot be challenged.
It was strongly advised by the organization that the governor complete the process by granting permission to the Olubonkun Ruling House to produce the subsequent Aree of Iree before the procedure is considered complete. According to the advice that was presented by the organization, this suggestion was made. The statement that was issued by the organization reads as follows: “However, we strongly encourage the governor to finish the process.”
“We recall how under former Governor Gboyega Oyetola, the then Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke, also known as Banik, who is from the community in Boripe North Local Council Development Area, wanted to foist their crony as new Aree,” the ICF made a statement in order to explain how Prince Raphael was elevated to the position of Oba prior to his final dismissal. Banik is also known as Prince Adebayo Adeleke. It is also possible to refer to Banik as Prince Adebayo Adeleke. Additionally, Prince Adebayo Adeleke is another name that can be used to allude to Banik.
Following that, it was requested that each of the eleven individuals who were competing for the vacant seat make a payment of N500,000 to the Boripe local council and N150,000 to the Osun State Government. This was done in order to secure the seat. Therefore, this action was taken in order to guarantee that the seat would be filled without delay. This action was performed in order to guarantee that the seat will be available without any problems.
On top of that, each and every one of them was obliged to pay a separate sum of money in order to cover the tax clearances that they had obtained over the course of the preceding three years. Furthermore, in addition to the fact that they were required to pay these amounts, this was also a factor in the situation.
The contenders quickly came to the realization that they had been taken advantage of when the administration that was in power at the time, which had stolen various sums of money from the candidates, made a volte-face by undermining the community’s convention by appointing a new female chief, an Iyalode, to join the Iree kingmakers. This made the candidates realize that they had been taken advantage of. This conclusion came about as a consequence of the choice made by the government to undermine the constitutional convention.
Additionally, it is regarded a social taboo for a woman to take on the role of kingmaker, which is something that has never been seen before in the history of the society. This is something that has never been possible before. Nothing like this has ever been seen before in the history of the world. Throughout the entirety of human history, there has never been anything even quite similar to this.
The organization said that the state government at the time appointed a candidate of the governor’s choice to serve as king and appointed him to that position prior to the governor stepping down from his position as governor. In spite of the fact that a court injunction had banned the installation from going place, this event took place. Additionally, the fact that the governor had resigned from his position did not prevent this from being carried out.
Adeleke was strongly encouraged by the group to revisit the Iree issue, select Afolabi as the candidate of choice for the majority of the community along with the younger members of the community, and install him as Aree. This was done with the intention of further strengthening peaceful coexistence and the growth of the Iree community. In order to further develop the Iree community, this action was taken.
On the other hand, the request that was submitted by the Iwo Traditional Council in the year 2023 was not granted by the Olubonku Ruling House. In contrast to what was anticipated, this was the opposite. The council, which was led by Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo, had drafted a petition to the governor, in which they begged that the temporary suspension of the monarchs be revoked. The petition was submitted to the governor.
