The G20 Summit 2023 will be held on September 9-10 in New Delhi, India, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu plans to be there.
The two-day Summit will bring together heads of state and government from all G20 member countries and other invited guests in Delhi.
US Vice President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Canada’s Justin Trudeau, Japan’s Fumio Kishida, and Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud are all on the guest list.

There are currently 19 member states and the European Union that make up the G20 (or Group of Twenty). These states are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom, and the United States.
Founded in 1999 in response to the Asian financial crisis that mostly affected East and Southeast Asia, it seeks to assure global financial stability through the participation of middle-income countries.
Members of the G20 account for over 85% of global GDP, 75% of global trade, and roughly 2/3 of the world’s population.
To shape and develop the global architecture and governance on all significant international economic issues, it serves as a forum for international economic cooperation.
The rotating Presidency of the Group of Twenty (G20) is responsible for coordinating the group’s agenda, streamlining its operations, and convening summits. From December 1st, 2022, till November 30th, 2023, India will hold the Presidency.
Following India’s term in 2023, Brazil will preside over the G20 in 2024, and South Africa will do so in 2025.
