Aisha Yesufu, a Nigerian activist, has proposed an Executive Council comprised of the wives of the 10th National Assembly Senators.
According to reports, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels took to social media to announce that she had landed an appointment.
Senator Ned Nwoko’s youngest wife revealed that she has been appointed as the Social Secretary of the 10th Assembly Senators’ Wives Forum Executive Council.
Her appointment was announced at the first meeting of the 10th Senator’s Wives Association of Nigeria, which was hosted by Ekaette, the wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The discussion principally focused on how to better support senators, their spouses, and the First Lady of the Federation in their efforts to serve the great people of Nigeria.
“I was also made the social secretary of the forum, and I look forward to a great Nigeria,” Regina Daniels wrote.
Yesufu, in response, bemoaned that governance in the country has devolved into a farce.
Yesufu asked whether there would be a Husbands Forum for 10th Assembly Senators.
“What is good for the goose is good for the gander!”
“There should be a 10th Assembly Senator’s Husbands Forum because this country enjoys a lot of nonsensical nonsense.”
“Governance is like a joke to us,” she wrote on Twitter.
