The Uruguayan national team’s head coach has been named Marcelo Bielsa, a former manager of Leeds United.
The 67-year-old Argentine has been jobless since the Elland Road team fired him in February 2022.
He recently discussed their then-open managerial positions with Bournemouth and Everton.

After 16 years away, Leeds returned to the Premier League under Bielsa’s leadership, and the club’s supporters continue to hold him in high regard. Bielsa joined Leeds in 2018.
