Jurgen Klopp, manager of Liverpool, has stated that only Manchester City can compete for the Premier League title next year.
The 2022–2023 season was not a good one for the Reds, as they ended up in fifth place and without any hardware.
Despite Klopp’s optimism about the upcoming season, he still sees City as the clear favorite to defend their title.
No team, other than maybe City, can set the realistic goal of repeating as champions this season.
We, like every other squad, strive to win the Champions League. If a team makes the Champions League sooner in the season, they will finish higher in the standings.
It’s possible to win if you’re in second place but close enough to the leader to make a move. Klopp stated, “I don’t know who will be there” before Wednesday’s friendly match between Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
