Federal workers heed NLC strike threat, close Oyo secretariat [PHOTOS]

Federal government employees in Oyo State went on a two-day warning strike on Tuesday after being instructed to do so by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

The NLC reportedly called for a two-day warning strike to be observed by employees across the country.

The recent elimination of the subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) necessitated the strike, as it was required to find alternatives.

According to sarewa hausa, employees at the Federal Secretariat in Ibadan ignored the order and stayed home on Tuesday.

Our reporter on the scene in the morning said that the doors to the Ibadan Federal Secretariat building were locked.

It turned out that the employees refused to do their jobs.

The labour activists also blocked the entrance to the secretariat to make sure everyone complied.
