Peter Mbah, the governor of Enugu State, is the target of evidence presented by the National Youth Service Corps, or NYSC.
Due to allegations made regarding his contentious discharge certificate, Mbah sued the NYSC.
Documentary evidence supporting NYSC’s position that it did not issue the certificate Mbah was in possession of was provided to the court.
The release certificate that Governor Mbah claimed was issued to him was not from the NYSC, according to the statement given by Mrs. Rhoda Dawa, the NYSC’s Assistant Director in the Corps Certification Department, at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
A date sheet indicating where discharged corps members signed for their certificates, another data sheet listing the names of unclaimed certificates, official circulars authorizing the destruction of unclaimed certificates, photographs of discharged corps members, and the allegedly forged certificate Mbah allegedly submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, are among the documents the NYSC has provided to the court.
Governor Mbah asserted in court documents that he finished his national youth duty and received a discharge certificate.
