Emergence of a Nigerian Teenager The Youngest AWS Developer Associate Certified in Africa

It was a young man from Nigeria who made headlines.

NAN reports that 13-year-old programmer Joshua Agboola is Africa’s youngest Amazon Web Services Developer Associate.

After a rigorous two-hour exam testing his knowledge and expertise in AWS cloud deployment, troubleshooting, and development, Master Agboola has earned this distinction.

Services in the cloud can be anything from hardware and operating systems to programs and data that are stored and made accessible online.

In an interview on Sunday in Lagos, Master Agboola claimed he was motivated to accomplish this by his excellent score on the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner test earlier this year and his father’s encouragement to sit for the next level of certification.

In spite of Master Agboola’s growing fascination with DevOps, he has decided to pursue the more conventional next step of earning his Solutions Architect Associate credential.

The young programmer explained, “I was initially preparing for the Solutions Architect Associate certification, which is the next certification most people take on their AWS cloud journey, but had a change of mind for a tougher developer associate certification due to encouragement from an older friend programmer.” The next day I started studying since a lightbulb went out in my brain.
Master Agboola continued: “The prospect of becoming the youngest developer associate in the world, which is the cloud computing equivalent of a world record, also became a strong motivation for me.”
He spent around six weeks of two to five hours per day studying for the exam.

The 13-year-old online star claimed that a Lagos-based technology firm took notice of his cloud-related accomplishments and offered to “provide me with further technical mentorship.”
