Nine people are detained by the EFCC for internet fraud. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Uyo Zonal Command agents have detained nine suspected internet fraudsters in and around Itam Police Station Road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Victor Etiowo, George Vincent, Lambert Joshua, Daniel Joshua, Johnny Jimmy, Elijah Asuquo Ekwere, Amos Cosmos, Otobong Emmanuel, and Enomfon Jackson Akpabio were named as the suspects.
They were detained as a result of useful information regarding their alleged online criminal activities at the mentioned location.
Mobile phones from various manufacturers are among the items recovered from them.
Once the investigations are complete, the suspects will be presented in court for arraignment.
