Despite losing to the Abia Warriors, the Tornadoes’ coach praised the officials’ performance

Abdulazeez Abara, head coach of the Niger Tornadoes, had nothing but praise for the officials in his team’s opening match against the Abia Warriors on Saturday.

At the Umuahia Township stadium, the Ikon Allah Boys lost to the Abia Warriors by a score of 1-0.

In the second half, John Peter scored the game’s only goal.

Abara conceded that his squad squandered opportunities they created.

“Abia Warriors are a good side,” he stated in an interview after the game.

We squandered a number of golden opportunities to score that could have shifted the momentum of the game.

To paraphrase one of the commentators, “The officiating was good and I hope the officials will continue like this.”
