Tata Martino, the head coach of Inter Miami, has stated that Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets may not start the Leagues Cup encounter against Cruz Azul on Friday, but that they would likely get minutes.
Messi and Busquets completed their first training session with the MLS side on Tuesday.
Ticket prices for the game have ranged from $275 to $19,000.
“From what I’ve seen so far, they’re going to be fit to play, and it’s likely that they’ll be there on Friday,” Martino told ESPN Ftbol 12.
“We’ll have to decide whether they’ll start or come in at halftime, but as far as I’m concerned, Leo and Busi can both play [on Friday].”
Inter Miami hasn’t won an MLS game in over two months, so making the playoffs is unlikely.
