Afrobeats artiste, David Adeleke, known as Davido, has broken a world record with his newly released album ‘Timeless’.
According to Apple Music, “the Nigerian superstar’s #Timeless had the most first-day streams for an African album on Apple Music.”
Last Friday, Davido announced the release of his new album to his large online fan base.
He used the opportunity to thank all of his fans and those who helped finish ‘Timeless,’ as well as reflect on his life’s journey from his previous album to this one.
Since its release, the 17-track album ‘Timeless’ has received a lot of attention. Fave, Asake, Cavemen, Skepta, Angelique Kidjo, Musa Keys, and Dexta Daps are among the artists featured on the album.
Davido’s fans’ reactions to the teaser confirmed their excitement for the new album. Timeless received 1 million streams in less than six hours after its release.
Since its March 31st release,
‘Timeless’ reached 1 million streams in less than six hours and 5 million streams in about 16 hours after its release, making it the first album to accomplish this new and historic feat on Boomplay.
The album is still popular.
