Axel Disasi, a French international defender, has signed a six-year contract to play for Chelsea after leaving Monaco for 45 million euros (£38.57 million).
After Wesley Fofana’s season-ending knee injury, the 25-year-old Disasi provides defense depth at Stamford Bridge.
He was a key cog in Monaco’s Ligue 1 season, in which they went 38 games.
“I am really proud to be able to be a part of this great family,” Disasi said on Chelsea’s website.
In this place, I intend to accomplish great things. Ultimately, to take home trophies. I promise to make every effort possible to realize my goals. I consider myself to be a really ambitious person.
