Mohammed Kudus, a midfielder for Ajax, would want to sign with Arsenal this summer rather than with Chelsea or Manchester United, two of Arsenal’s Premier League opponents.
The three English clubs—Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United—have all been linked to the Ghanaian international in recent weeks.
However, Kudus reportedly wants to participate in the Champions League next season.
Since Chelsea finished in the middle of the Premier League last season, they will not be participating in the Champions League next year, giving Arsenal an instant and significant advantage.
Meanwhile, Kudus’s absence from Ajax’s preseason training sparked speculation that he will be traded over the summer.
Ajax, though, is feeling more and more optimistic in their ability to keep the 22-year-old.
