On Saturday, local elections were held in the state of Edo, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, won every single one of the 18 LGAs.
In a report broadcast on Channels Television, the state independent electoral commission said that the PDP had won in every single local government area in the state.
On Saturday, all of the state’s municipal governments held their elections.
In addition to the PDP, the Labour Party (LP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) fielded candidates in the election for Chairmanship and Councillorship of all the wards.
There has been no official announcement of the election results from either the APC or the LP as of the time this story was written.
