Alfa: “Election riggers, kidnappers, and Yahoo Boys are fasting in vain.”

Islamic clerics have stated that election riggers and internet fraudsters, also known as “Yahoo boys,” are fasting ineffectively unless they go back to where they came from.

This was stated on Wednesday while speaking with our correspondent in Abeokuta by the Chief Imam of the University of Abuja, Prof. Taofik Azeez, and the Missioner of the Islamic Youth League in Abeokuta, Ustadh Jubril Awwal.

Yahoo Boys are wasting their time fasting, according to the Chief Missioner, Dawah Front of Nigeria and Chief Imam of Abuja.

Even if Yahoo boys used the money to build a mosque, the cleric said, it would not be acceptable.

He stated:

It is wrong. They use evil means to steal peoples’ money.

Allah will not accept anything other than what is pure, so even if they spend their money on building mosques, Allah won’t accept that either.

“Yahoo boys, the fasting of the kidnappers is in vain. After Ramadan, they must confess their sins and refrain from conducting business.

In his remarks, the IYL Missioner claimed that those who are fasting, including Yahoo boys and election riggers, are doing so in vain.

He stated:

“The purpose of Ramadan is to increase Allah’s fear. Ramadan is all about having fear of Allah.

“If someone has committed immoral acts, his fast cannot be accepted unless he repents,” the Prophet said.

In addition, Ustadh Rasheed Adeyanju, the imam of the Liberty Mosque in Abeokuta, warned election fraud and

Yahoo boys aren’t fasting to waste their time.

He stated:

“These people are bad people who are not Allah’s friends, including Yahoo boys and election riggers.

“With their actions, they have caused suffering for others. If they don’t stop and repent, their fasting is a waste of time.
