According to Keyamo Shades’ “Men of God,” Oyedepo heard Peter Obi’s phone call rather than God’s.

Festus Keyamo, the chief spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, has reacted to the alleged audio conversation between Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) nominee for president, and David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel).

Keyamo responded to the audio leak by saying it had exposed men of God who claimed to have heard from God when, in reality, they had heard Obi’s call.

According to Naijaloded, Obi begged the cleric to assist him in organizing Christian voters ahead of the presidential elections in the allegedly leaked audio.

According to the statement made public on Sunday by the state minister for labor and employment,

“Having established the veracity of what is currently referred to as the Peter Obi ‘Yes-daddy,’

I believe that the so-called “men of God” who allowed themselves to be used by an unethical politician to try and incite religious fervor in our beloved country in the name of politics are the real culprits in this case.

So, when they claimed to have heard the voice of the Lord while telling their helpless followers that they had, in fact, heard Peter Obi’s phone calls rather than the voice of the Lord. This is dishonest, repugnant, and revolting.

Imagine a politician and a so-called “man of God” discussing what the politician said or would say in the pulpit to win votes.

“I pray that this humiliates the’men of God’ in Nigeria enough for them to immediately stop using the pulpit for politics and the Churchgoers need to stop being led astray by their opportunistic “men of God.”

“As for Peter Obi, who called an election a’religious war’ in a country like ours with many different religions and ethnic groups, the real God has just exposed him, and his aspiration to become president of Nigeria one day has just passed away naturally. “Yes-daddy” is now indelible in the collective memory of the country, and we will NEVER forget!”

Bashir Ahmad, President Muhammadu Buhari’s special assistant for digital communications, added that the topic should not be viewed as a typical trending joke.

The problem, in the opinion of President Buhari’s aide, poses a threat to the nation’s democracy and unanimity.

He added that if it is not handled properly, it could negatively affect Nigeria’s upcoming election.

He wrote on Twitter: “All sane and patriotic citizens should publicly condemn Peter Obi’s leaked ‘thank you daddy’ audio. It shouldn’t be taken as a typical trending joke matter. Our democracy and sense of unity are in danger. Our upcoming elections will be negatively impacted if it is not handled properly.
