In Anambra, a 28-year-old woman gives birth to quintuplets. Following 9 Years of Marriage

After about nine years of marriage, a 28-year-old woman named Chidinma Amaechi gave birth to quintuplets in Awka, the capital of Anambra State.

The quintuplets, three boys and two girls, were delivered via caesarian section on Thursday night, according to Vanguard.

Chidinma married Tochukwu Amaechi, an Onitsha-based petty trader, after completing her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in July 2022.

Meanwhile, Chidinma has asked the government and other citizens to help her pay the N7.5 million hospital bill.

Ebele Oranekwu, Chidinma’s elder sister, said the bill for the incubators is N250,000 per day.

She went on to say that the babies are currently in the intensive care unit.

They are expected to stay in the hospital for about 30 days.

“This bill amounted to about N7.5 million, on top of other huge bills that had already accumulated in the past two months of managing the delicate pregnancy at the hospital,” she explained.

“As a result, we are appealing to philanthropists, governments, and non-governmental organizations to come to our aid in order for us to offset the enormous medical bills and reap the full benefits of God’s blessings upon our family,” Oranekwu said.
