Falzthebadguy, a Nigerian rapper, has taken on the Nigerian government and politics once more in his latest collaboration with Vectorthaviper, titled “Yakubu.”

The song is a scathing indictment of the incompetence of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, and other figures in Nigerian society.

Falzthebadguy criticizes Mr Yakubu, who is in charge of overseeing Nigeria’s electoral process, in the song for his poor performance in conducting free and fair elections.

He also criticizes Nigeria’s Chief Justice, accusing him of hiding in the United Kingdom for a private meeting rather than addressing pressing issues in Nigeria.

Falzthebadguy also targets the Nigerian Police, whom he claims are sleeping on the job, and Agbero with a cutlass, MC Oluomo, a notorious Nigerian thug who is often associated with violence and intimidation.

MY OPINION: In a country where the media is frequently manipulated by the government, musicians like Falzthebadguy provide an important source of information and dissent. Through his music, he has become a voice for the voiceless, speaking truth to power and shining a light on issues that those in power frequently ignore.
