Surprisingly, Nigerian musician Wizkid made a statement about the 2023 elections. It is important to remember that Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido were heavily chastised for not running in the 2023 election.
Davido was only partially exempt due to the death of his child, but Burna Boy faced harsh criticism for his constant singing about Nigeria’s problems and lack of participation.
Burna Boy finally addressed the elections after fans tagged him in a video of Falz performing as an African Giant, which sparked a heated debate.
In Wizkid’s case, his fans attempted to defend him by claiming he is uninterested in politics. Other fans assisted them in locating old Wizkid’s tweets about presidential candidates.
Wizkid, on the other hand, released the video for “Money and Love” on March 29th, and Nigerians were able to understand how he felt about the Presidential election.
Wizkid can be seen in the video painting while surrounded by newspapers. The newspaper’s headline read, “Frustration, credibility doubts as election results trickle in days after.”
Wizkid clearly believes the 2023 presidential election was not free and fair, as evidenced by the Newspaper.
