Lt. Col Agbu Kefas (retd.) of Taraba State said on Saturday that he would keep all of the promises he made during the campaign, noting that “the era of promise and fail is over.”
While stating that his election victory was part of the deal he struck with the people, he also stated that the people had placed their future and hopes in him, which he would not take lightly.
Kefas made the announcement through his Spokesperson, Emmanuel Bello, in a statement obtained by journalists in Abuja.
“Giving me this mandate is a serious matter, and the social contract I have with the people is one,” he explained.
I take it very seriously. I’m not going to mess with their mandate. I promise to fulfill everything I said, and we will do so in our first 100 days in office.
“The campaign enabled me to listen to the people’s longings in new ways.” Everything they told me is very important to me. I will not disappoint their dreams, hopes, and aspirations. My words are my bonds as a leader. Let me also state that I am a man of my words because of my conviction and faith.”
Kefas stated that leadership is a collective responsibility and that he anticipates citizens doing their part by supporting the programs of his incoming administration.
He emphasized that he was coming to make the youths very happy.
Secure, particularly in terms of employment, infrastructure, and credible developments.
“In keeping with my leadership’s moving forward mantra, I intend to hit the ground running.” We will not abandon anyone. We’d carry everyone along for the ride.”
