We Will Fight Obi – APGA

According to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), it will not back Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, in the general elections of 2023.
There were rumors that Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, had told party members to oppose Peter Obi because he wanted to succeed Atiku Abubakar as president after a private meeting between the APGA and Soludo. The accusation was quickly denied by Soludo, who insisted that only APGA-related topics were discussed at the regular gathering and that Obi was never brought up. Chinedu Obigwe, the National Coordinator of the APGA Media Warriors Forum, stressed that the party would campaign against Obi in order to support APGA candidates while speaking to journalists in Awka on Thursday. Obigwe continued by saying that it would be wiser for APGA supporters to support APGA candidates rather than Obi. He underlined that APGA has continued to be dedicated to supporting all of its candidates in the elections.

Anyone expecting APGA to support the former governor of Anambra State in this 2023 election, he claimed, is “dwelling in self-deceit and living in fool’s paradise.”

He emphasized that working against Obi is the best course of action for APGA. He declared, “I detest being sentimental on significant subjects and enjoy speaking the unvarnished truth regardless of who might be offended. “Our self-proclaimed Saint Peter Obi, who is running for president of the Labour Party, has no affiliation with the APGA as a political party or its supporters. In the upcoming general election, Labour Party members will work against APGA candidates, and it is expected that APGA supporters would do the same for Peter Obi and other Labour Party candidates.

“Anyone expecting APGA supporters to support Peter Obi in this election in 2023 is living a lie and in fool’s paradise. Such an idea will not succeed since no rational person would transport their catch to a political rival’s boat.

“Peter Obi’s misguided bid for the presidency is dead on arrival,” I assert, because “I don’t know how to paint words or to be economical with the truth.” “Governor Chukwuma Soludo doesn’t need to advise APGA supporters to oppose Peter Obi because they already understand that doing so is in the best interest of our party, the APGA. The diabolical plan by Obi to cause bandwagon effect for APGA candidates in this 2023 general election will fail. It will pass away naturally since APGA supporters are dedicated to supporting all APGA candidates in the upcoming general election in 2023, said Obigwe.
