Those who have benefited from the COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES)

Programme have been cautioned by the governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, not to let their advantages be diverted or sold.

In Dutse, at the State Fadama office, the governor made the warning public during the program’s official launch.

The government’s efforts to improve livelihoods, foster robust economic growth, and strengthen post-COVID-19 recovery are reflected in the program, according to Namadi.

To ensure openness and accountability, he said, a committee was established to oversee the selection of beneficiaries and the program’s execution.

It is in keeping with the NG-CARES standards, he added, “to guarantee that poor and vulnerable groups in the state, regardless of their social status or class, have equitable access to government intervention projects.”

Dr. Saifullahi Umar, who chairs the group responsible for overseeing the selection of beneficiaries and communities, stated that the committee used a strict and scientific approach.
