Peter Schmeichel, a Manchester United veteran, has criticized Sofyan Amrabat, a midfielder for the club, for his play in a recent match against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Schmeichel criticized the Moroccan international, alleging that Amrabat committed a “silly foul” during the Premier League match.
The Eagles defeated Man United, 1-0, thanks to a free-kick strike from Joachim Andersen.
Amrabat, who was playing left defense for Man United as instructed by manager Erik ten Hag, collided with Jordan Ayew and committed the foul that resulted to Andersen’s goal.
We had a pregame chat on Amrabat, who is playing in his first complete Premier League game but has struggled thus far.
Schmeichel said to Premier League Productions, “He gives a silly foul away which leads to this free kick.”
