On Saturday, Jibrin Isah Echocho, the senator who represents the Kogi East Senatorial District, said that the Anyigba Area Command Headquarters’ modern facilities would improve policing in Kogi East.
This was said by Echocho during the commissioning of the Command Headquarters, which he helped pay as part of his efforts to curb the rising tide of insecurity in the area.
The lawmaker praised the police for their efforts to protect citizens’ lives and property after the structure and equipment were unveiled at a ceremony attended by top security officials, MPs, and traditional rulers.
To emphasize that security is everyone’s duty, the senator said, “the state-of-the-art facility is a testament to his commitment to the security and wellbeing of the community” by being built as part of his budget for the new Anyigba Area Command Headquarters.
He claims that the regional command center will play a pivotal role in coordinating police efforts.
“We will continue to invest in security to enable availability of modern equipment to combat crime and criminality,” Echocho stated.
The infrastructure will help the police make Anyigba and Nigeria as a whole safer and healthier place to live.
