Akpabio, Barau Nigeria’s issues are manageable, even on independence day

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has extended his best wishes to the people of Nigeria on the occasion of the country’s 63rd Independence Day.

The Senate President, while admitting the current problems in the polity, said that there were numerous landmarks in the nation’s 63 years to give a sense of optimism for a better tomorrow in a statement issued by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh.

While acknowledging the specific obstacles that Nigeria has faced over the past 63 years, Senator Akpabio remarked that every nation faces its own set of difficulties.

Senator Akpabio said he was confident in claiming that Nigeria was currently on the right route to rediscovery because the distinctive Nigerian hardships were increasingly reinforcing the fabrics of national cohesiveness.

It is tempting to let current economic and security concerns overshadow the successes of our nationhood as we reflect on its 63 years of existence.

“I would venture to say that the world has and continues to reckon with Nigeria in a number of sectors of endeavor, including business, politics, sports, and the arts.

I feel obligated to recognize the many Nigerian celebrities in the entertainment industry who have come so close to making it big on the international scene because to their hard work and talent.

In light of this, I urge all Nigerians to hold on to optimism for their country.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, GFCR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is the one Nigerian who can make Nigeria into the country of our aspirations, and for that I offer my heartfelt congratulations.

In the name of my fellow members of the National Assembly, I promise to back his effort within the bounds of the Constitution.

“I’d like to extend my best wishes to my fellow members of the National Assembly and to all Nigerians on this momentous occasion.”

Similarly, Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Senate, has urged Nigerians not to lose hope, stating that the country’s problems can be solved with the dedication of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In his message to Nigerians for the country’s 63rd Independence Anniversary, Senator Barau (APC, Kano North) urged his fellow countrymen to continue their unwavering support of the government’s efforts to improve the country’s economic situation.

Happy Independence Day, my fellow Nigerians! We must recommit ourselves to the ideals they preached, including the promotion of national unity, peace, justice, and tolerance, as we commemorate the 63rd Independence Anniversary — the freedom from colonial rule — and remember the enormous sacrifices made by our founding fathers, including Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Ahmadu Bello, and Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, among others.

Yes, at 63, we as a country do have some issues, but we can overcome them. We’ll get the better of them. By God’s grace, our nation will overcome its current difficulties and emerge stronger than before.

Let’s keep pushing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which outlines his plans to improve the country’s economy and social conditions. His goals for the country are admirable. We’ll figure it out,” he promised.
