Labour Party advises followers to prepare for NLC strike by storing food and other necessities

The Labour Party has urged its supporters to prepare for an indefinite strike by organized labor by stocking up on food and other necessities.

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) are reportedly planning to shut down the economy on October 3 to get their demands for better working conditions heard. This is according to the SARRWA HAUSA

The Labour Party executive endorsed the idea of an indefinite strike in a statement released by National Publicity Secretary Obiora Ifoh on Wednesday.

The party claims that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is unconcerned about the problems facing the country as a result of the elimination of the fuel subsidy.

The political group expressed regret that some pupils had to drop out of school because their families could not afford to pay the required tuition.

According to the statement, “The party fully supports the resolution of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC,” which calls for industrial action beginning on Tuesday, October 3rd.

Workers’ requests are tough to meet despite the government’s assertions that it has eliminated petroleum product subsidies and is now generating over a trillion naira per month, according to the Labour Party.

Every day, Nigerians face the harsh economic realities of a country where inflation is close to 30 percent, the price of a dollar is more than N1,000, and the average annual wage has fallen.

“Due to an increase in school fees, many families are pulling their children out of school, while crime continues to rise on a daily basis.

The Nigerian staff has, in our opinion, demonstrated sufficient tolerance and tolerance. We are also utilizing this forum to remind all our members and supporters to prepare for a protracted mass action until victory is guaranteed by stocking up on food, water, and other necessities. We will not back down.
