Nweze, Tinubu’s right-hand man, has reportedly asked Odoh and Odii to stop suing Nwifuru

On Wednesday, Mrs. Chioma Nweze, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Development for the South East region, urged governorship candidates Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii of the Peoples Democratic Party and Ifeanyi Odoh of the All Progressives Grand Alliance to end their ongoing litigation against Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru.

You may remember that Governor Nwifuru was taken before the election petition tribunal in Abuja by his two opponents, Odii and Odoh.

According to SAREWA HAUSA reporting, a three-person tribunal panel led by Justice Leken Ogunmoye ruled that the petitioners Odoh and Odii failed to prove that Nwifuru was still a member of the PDP when he ran for governor in the March 18 governorship election.

In addition to finding no merit to the petitions against Nwifuru, Justice Ogunmoye ruled that the petitioners lacked locus standi to institute the case because the issue was an internal concern of the APC.

Shortly after Nwifuru’s triumph, Nweze released a statement to newsmen in Abakaliki in which he urged the two petitioners to abandon their legal challenges and work with the Governor to improve administration in the state.

She was very pleased with the three-person panel’s decision to uphold the ballots cast by residents of Ebonyi.

It should come as no surprise, then, that the unprejudiced sword of justice ripped the meritless petitions to bits.

“I most passionately urge all contenders to swallow the humble pie and team up with you to enable the State to enjoy many more years of progressive governance,” she urged.
